In short it is a relationship term - usually after 7 years people tend to re-evaluate their relationship. There might be evidence that it is now much shorter but the original number 7 came from a time period where the average marriage only lasted 7 years.
I am happy to say that Keline and I have just completed 7 years of marriage! We celebrated by kayaking down the Ventura Harbor on Saturday, during the Tall Ship festival.
Our marriage has been a journey from the beginning. We have stuck through the good times, the bad times, the 2 kids, the happy, the sad, the rich, and the poor times. Some days it was easy, and other days; well Keline says it best: "It was no walk in the park!"
The honest answer is, my wife is an amazing person, a faithful and stalwart companion, and a terrific mother. I am so blessed to have been able to spend the last 7 years married to her, and looking forward to the next however many years we live.
I love you sweetheart,
Matt
