Share the road.

I gotta get a little lead out: Please do me a favor and look out for bicyclists on the road today.!
I started to ride to and from work again, and I had a harrowing experience today with some JackHole in a big SUV. I was cranking big ring style down a small slope, cruising about 30 MPH (not bad for my getaway sticks!) when an SUV pulled up to turn right on a residential street. He started to slow, to heed to my right away, and then mashed the accelerator, got in front of me and turned right. I guess he did not realize that a bike cruising 30MPH comes up on you quick because I had to slam my breaks to not T-Bone him. I actually put my hand on the back of his SUV, still doing 20+ while he was turning. I thought I was going down. He never stopped.
Bikes have the right of way, end of story.

Great news!!

Keline is back on her feet and doing laundry... Life is good again.!!
Just kidding, about the laundry. Kel is on a nice cocktail of good drugs, and on ice all day long. Her back is still jacked, but she is mobile. The kids are happy, because they get to climb all over mom again.

Debilitating Back Pain

Keline started running. She is a trooper. She was gearing to do the Pat's run in AZ in April. It is a 4.2 mile sponsor run for Pat Tillmen of the AZ Cardinals (who died in the middle east while serving in the US Military).
So,Keline bought some running shoes the best way she knows how... by color and how they looked, and started running. After 2 weeks and miles of running; she started feeling the results of "too far too fast" and improper shoes.
I brought her to my running sports therapist shoe store and my sports chiropractor. They hooked her up with a good pair of shoes and proper technique. Later that night Keline pinched her back and could move at all. It hurt to breath, and she couldn't cough because of the pain. I carried her ever where she went and the kids were real worried about mom. After 1000 mg of Soma, she konked out to sleep. The next day she couldn't move, but then started getting better today. Back pain is horrible, no running for a while.... lame
